The 150/12 Model of Collaboration

In today’s episode, I talk about how you can leverage the power of word of mouth by turning it into one of the most effective marketing channels, especially when it comes to drawing new customers and establishing brand loyalty.

In business, it’s no longer about having a big network. It’s about having a quality network. And learning how to leverage referral marketing is by far the fastest path to cash for service-based businesses.

That’s exactly why I teach a methodology called Collaborate to Accelerate in my high net worth network called The Uplevel Community. This is where I show people how to master the art of referral marketing using the 150/12 model.

150 is the magic number of people you can effectively maintain relationships with – also known as Dunbar’s number. These are the people you can keep in touch with to ensure that you are front of mind when your ideal clientele comes knocking. I like to call this group your VIP 150.

12 is the number of people on your board of advisors. These are your strategic business partners who share the same clientele as you and the ones who you can regularly exchange referral work with.

The more you nurture these relationships, the more your business will grow with your ideal clientele.
